Harry's Mystery Movie

Now here is a bit of a mystery.  The following 1980 article describes a movie, "Love And Money", that was to star Harry Ritz.  This movie does not appear in any of the standard Ritz sources, so I assume the film was never made or never released.  IMDB lists a 1982 film of the same title, but the description does not seem to be a likely vehicle vehicle for Harry.  Then again, Blazing Stewardesses was not a likely vehicle for Harry and Jimmy either. At any rate, if any reader can shed some light on this mystery and let us know the whereabouts of Harry's "Love And Money", please do so.  Thanks, Tim

Hi Tim,
Yes, Harry was in a movie called "Love and Money" at that time. however, he was only able to do one day of filming before he became very ill, and that was the beginning of seven years of illness before he past away. it was a produced by Warren Beatty. Harry took this serious role, with a script! mind you, and without his brother Jimmy. Jimmy ,of course, was jealous, as i recall. i was about 15 when the production started. Harry went into a diabetic shock briefly, and was given too much insulin by the Dr, and it cause some brain damage. However, we did not know that for the first three years, and we thought he was depressed. much more to the story, but i dont need to dredge that up.
King Vidor took his place in the film. i never did get to see it. i would love to get my hands on the dailies with harry in them.

Hi Janna,
Thank you so much for commenting on "Love and Money". You clear up the mystery and provide very interesting background information as well. This is also an obviously sad period, so I truly hope I did not cause you any unhappiness in recalling this movie. Please accept my apologies if that is the case.

I'm delighted you took the time to read and comment on my blog, and I hope to see your comments in the future. Thank you again.

Tim :)
